What is the ADCS?

On February 5, 2014 the Government of Canada signed a ‘FATCA IGA’ (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act Intergovernmental Agreement) with the United States for the purpose of making Canada and certain Canadian laws, subservient to and subject to the United States in general and the U.S. FATCA law in particular.


The legislation to enable the February 5 ‘FATCA IGA’ is found in Part 5 of Bill C-31 which is an Omnibus Bill that claims to be for the purpose of enabling Canadian legislation in relation to the Budget.


ADCS is an acronym that stands for ‘The Alliance for the Defence of Canadian Sovereignty’. ADCS is a ‘non-profit’ corporation registered under the laws of Canada. The immediate goal of ADCS is to defend Canada’s sovereignty from:

•  ensure that NO law of Canada will be allowed to be inconsistent with the U.S. FATCA law
•   ‘Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act’ in general;
•  enact specific Canadian laws for the express purpose of discriminating against Canadian citizens of
•   U.S. 
‘national origin’;

•  assist the United States in searching for and locating any category of person, including lawful residents
•   and citizens of Canada, that the U.S. will, in its sole discretion, from time to time specify; and

•  once located turn those lawful residents and citizens of Canada over to the U.S Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
