How YOU can help:
To defend Canada’s sovereignty and its people from the attempt of other countries to impose their legislation on Canada.
WASHINGTON D.C. ATTORNEY Mr. Jim Butera of Jones Walker LLP files a submission on behalf of the Alliance to the United States Department of State pointing out that the renunciation fee increase from US$450 to US$2,350 violates the Expatriate Act of 1868 and the U.S. Administrative Procedure Act and must be immediately suspended. Read Mr. Butera’s able submission and our press release in English and in French.
On August 11, 2014 Plaintiffs Ginny and Gwen filed a lawsuit against the
FATCA agreement in Federal Court of Canada. See the Claims.
February 4, 2016 UPDATE: Despite pre-election statements (see Arvay letter), the new Liberal Government continues defence of our lawsuit. We raised $500,000 to pay legal costs of Constitutional-Charter trial, which will take place in 2016, but still need an additional $28,139 to pay the extra legal costs our Arvay litigator team has incurred related to the summary trial motion.
We also need for the Charter trial Canadian WITNESSES willing to
describe in affidavits, where your name will be made public, how the
FATCA law has harmed you. If interested, contact Stephen Kish at Stephen.Kish.Chair@adcs-adsc.ca
